Ezra Klein Interviews Leslie Kean
2023-06-20, New York Times

A decorated former combat officer and an intelligence officer named David Grusch, who had worked on the government's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, said he had turned whistle-blower, and he had testified under oath that he has been told reliably, and given evidence of, secret government programs that have, over a long period of time, recovered and definitively analyzed crash materials – that we have this stuff, and it is being kept from Congress, it is being hidden. And if it were just him, maybe you would dismiss it. But there were others in the intelligence community, who had served around him, who were themselves very highly credentialed, who backed him up on this. The House and Senate Intelligence committees were very interested in this. More and more of them were briefed. Eventually, they actually authorized – or set up this U.A.P. Task Force, which was sort of an offshoot of this original AATIP program. This entity was instructed by Congress to study these cases and come up with reports, including reports for the public, and to just investigate this. The numbers of incidents that they had were just extraordinary, and they could not explain the behavior of these objects, the fact that some of them would hang around for 22 hours or something like that with, which is longer than they believed any drones could remain aloft. And one was described as a sphere with a cube inside it. So these were different kinds of things than we had been hearing about.

An Area 51 blogger was raided at gunpoint by federal agents. He says the US Government is trying to silence him

Joerg Arnu has been obsessed with Area 51 ever since his first visit to the perimeter of the secretive military base in 1998. The rumours of alien life forms, CIA spy plane testing programmes, and sense of forbidden mystery surrounding the massive military base in the southern Nevada desert instantly intrigued the 61-year-old retired software developer. In 1999, he launched the DreamlandResort blog as a comprehensive one-stop-shop for photos, videos and discussion about the base and the top secret military aircraft that are built and tested there. He eventually bought a second home near the gates of the military base. Last year, he was in bed when around 20 armed counter-terrorism agents in tactical gear raided his Rachel home, handcuffed him and led him out of his home in the freezing cold for questioning. The agents seized four of Mr Arnu's computers, containing his life's work on Area 51, along with treasured photos of his deceased parents, and medical and tax records. The agents handed Mr Arnu a search warrant signed by a federal magistrate judge. The first 39 pages were missing, and it only provided vague hints of what the agents had been looking for. A joint team from the FBI and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (USAF OSI) had conducted the raids. Eight months on, he still has no idea whether he will face charges, or if he'll ever get back the more than $30,000 he says he's out of pocket for as a result of seized equipment, property damage and legal fees.

UFO Crash '100 Percent' Covered-Up by U.S. Government, Congressman Says
2023-06-18, Newsweek

https://www.newsweek.com/ufo-crash-100-percent-covered-us-government-congress...

Representative Tim Burchett, a Tennessee Republican, is convinced that the United States government covered up an alleged UFO crash in Roswell, New Mexico, in 1947. Burchett has ... accused the U.S. government of covering-up incidents related to UFOs, also known as Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP). The congressman commented on the way the military handled the alleged UFO crash in Roswell. An inquiry by a General Accounting Office (GAO) ... looked into whether or not the U.S. Air Force or any federal agency kept information on the alleged crash and the recovery of the extraterrestrial vehicle and its alien occupants in July 1947. The 1994 report concluded that the debris recovered was from an U.S. Army Air Force balloon-bore research project called MOGUL. "The military said we've recovered a saucer and then the next day they dropped this poor officer out and claim he holds up a piece of a hot air balloon and says, 'No in fact it was a hot air balloon,' which apparently was a top secret program at the time and they've never would have disclosed it," he said. Burchett made similar remarks earlier this week in reference to a January unclassified report published by the Office for the Director of National Intelligence (DNI). The term UFO was mentioned in the government report in favor of the label "unidentified aerial phenomena." There were a total of 510 UAP sightings, according to the 2022 report, with the overall reported sightings increasing by 366 compared to the year prior.

Top US officials have 'first-hand knowledge' of UFOs: Sen. Marco Rubio

https://nypost.com/2023/06/27/rubio-confirms-officials-have-first-hand-knowle...

High-ranking US government officials have "first-hand knowledge" of a secret Pentagon crash retrieval program for UFOs, Sen. Marco Rubio has claimed. Rubio (R-Fla.), who serves as vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, told NewsNation Monday that "serious" whistleblowers – who "have held very high clearances and high positions within our government" – have come forward to the panel about several incidents in recent years. "Some of these people still work in the government," the 52-year-old Rubio told the outlet. "And frankly, a lot of them are very fearful, fearful of their jobs, fearful [of] their clearances, fearful of their career, and some, frankly, are fearful of harm coming to them." Rubio's comments bolster the testimony of an Air Force veteran and former intelligence official who recently told Congress he had "proof" that the US government had been covertly storing extraterrestrial aircraft for decades. "These are retrieving non-human origin technical vehicles, call it spacecraft if you will, non-human exotic origin vehicles that have either landed or crashed," 36-year-old David Grusch [said]. "Well, naturally, when you recover something that's either landed or crashed, sometimes you encounter dead pilots and, believe it or not, as fantastical as that sounds, it's true." Grusch said the US government even received a tip from the Vatican about a UFO – and later recovered the alien craft from Italian Fascist dictator Benito Mussolini.

Whistleblower claims spacecrafts and the bodies of 'pilots' have been found by the US government for decades

"Non-human spacecrafts" and the bodies of "pilots" have been recovered by the US government for decades, a former intelligence officer has claimed. Whistleblower David Charles Grusch, 36, has said the intelligence community has engaged in a "sophisticated disinformation campaign" to hide the discovery of fragments of and whole vehicles. Mr Grusch previously worked for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO). At the latter he was the representative to the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force, before becoming the NGA's co-lead for UAP analysis. Asked whether intelligence agencies ever came across the bodies of these extra-terrestrial species, he told NewsNation: "When you recover something that's either landed or crashed, sometimes you encounter dead pilots. And believe it or not, as fantastical as that sounds, it's true." Mr Grusch, who stepped down from Government on 7 April 2023, has reportedly filed a complaint saying he suffered illegal retaliation for disclosing information about the discoveries to Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General. Mr Grusch has not seen the alleged material himself. "We are not talking about prosaic origins or identities," Mr Grusch said, referencing information he provided Congress and the current ICIG. "The material includes intact and partially intact vehicles." Karl Nell, a retired Army colonel who was also on the UFO task force, described [Mr Grusch] as "beyond reproach".

No Longer in Shadows, Pentagon’s U.F.O. Unit Will Make Some Findings Public
2020-07-23, New York Times

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/07/23/us/politics/pentagon-ufo-harry-reid-navy.html

Despite Pentagon statements that it disbanded a once-covert program to investigate unidentified flying objects, the effort remains underway — renamed and tucked inside the Office of Naval Intelligence. Pentagon officials will not discuss the program. Yet it appeared last month in a Senate committee report outlining spending on the nation’s intelligence agencies for the coming year. The report said the program, the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force, was “to standardize collection and reporting” on sightings of unexplained aerial vehicles, and was to report at least some of its findings to the public within 180 days. Mr. Reid, the former Democratic senator from Nevada who pushed for funding the earlier U.F.O. program when he was the majority leader, said he believed that crashes of objects of unknown origin may have occurred and that retrieved materials should be studied. “After looking into this, I came to the conclusion that there were reports — some were substantive, some not so substantive — that there were actual materials that the government and the private sector had in their possession,” Mr. Reid said in an interview. Eric W. Davis, an astrophysicist who worked as a subcontractor and then a consultant for the Pentagon U.F.O. program since 2007, said that, in some cases, examination of the materials had so far failed to determine their source and led him to conclude, “We couldn’t make it ourselves.”

Stanford prof says aliens are '100%' living among us

A Stanford University professor and prominent ufologist says he "100 percent" believes extraterrestrials have not only visited Earth – but have "been here a long time" and may even still be on the planet today. Dr. Garry Nolan, a professor of pathology at Stanford's medical school, made the stunning claim during last week's Salt iConnections conference in Manhattan at a session titled, "The Pentagon, Extraterrestrial Intelligence and Crashed UFOS." Moderator Alex Klokus asked Nolan if he believes extraterrestrial life has visited Earth, and the prof replied, "I think you can go a step further – it hasn't just visited, it's been here a long time, and it's still here." "You know, people talk about the 'Wow! signal' looking for extraterrestrial intelligence. The 'Wow! signal' is that people see it on an almost regular basis, that's the communication that's already here," Nolan said. The "Wow! signal' refers to a burst of radio waves captured from outer space in 1977. The signal was 30 times stronger than typical background radiation and prompted some astronomers to believe it may have come from aliens. Klokus noted that for many, Nolan's statement about alien life would be "tough to believe" and asked him to assign a probability to his claims. "One hundred percent," Nolan said. "And that's not just my opinion. Thirty pages of [the National Defense Authorization Act] is the establishment of an unidentified aerial phenomena office."

Six whistleblowers who claim they worked on military UFO programs retrieving and analyzing crash material have come forward to spill their secrets to senior members of congress

Senior members of Congress have spoken to as many as six whistleblowers who claim they worked on Roswell-style UFO crash retrieval and reverse engineering programs. Congress passed a law last year creating whistleblower protections for anyone who has worked in such mind-boggling secret programs. Daniel Sheehan said he is in contact with at least six former government officials or military contractors who say they worked on just such a program. Sheehan says witnesses who allegedly know about Roswell-style programs, including a former Defense Intelligence Agency director, have been referred for interviews with the Pentagon's UFO office, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). Immunologist and Nobel Prize nominee Dr. Garry Nolan was commissioned by the CIA to investigate cases of the mysterious Havana Syndrome inflicting embassy officials worldwide, and has conducted experiments analyzing material allegedly jettisoned in UFO flyovers. He claims to be in contact with several former staffers of extraordinary UFO 'reverse engineering' programs. Another Nobel Prize nominee and CIA scientist Dr. Hal Puthoff, who worked in the government's 2008-2012 UFO program called AAWSAP, told DailyMail.com that he had briefed congress on classified information about reverse engineering programs, and knew of whistleblowers who had worked in the alleged programs. AARO has 72 hours to report to Congress any program discovered that has not been properly reported.

UFOs have been reported by almost one-fifth of academics a new survey reveals. Out of the 1,460 academics asked, 19 percent said they or someone they knew had witnessed an unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAP) – an observation in the sky that cannot be explained. The findings reveal that some of the brightest minds are interested in uncovering the mysteries of our skies, with 37 percent saying they have a degree of interest in conducting research into UAP. The survey was taken by 1,460 academics from 133 US universities across 14 academic disciplines in 2022. The participants, who were 62 percent male and 80 percent white, were asked about their perceptions and opinions of UAPs, formerly known as UFOs, as well as their experiences with them. Of the 14 different disciplines represented, 10 percent of people worked in political science physics and psychology, while six percent worked in engineering. These phenomena can leave even the cleverest of people baffled. Out of the academics, 39 percent said they did not know what could explain these sightings.

Rendlesham Forest UFO sighting 'new evidence' claim

New evidence has been gathered to back up claims a UFO landed near a US airbase in Suffolk, a former deputy commander has claimed. Col Charles Halt told the BBC he saw unidentified objects at Rendlesham Forest in December 1980. He says he now has statements from radar operators at RAF Bentwaters and nearby Wattisham airfield that an unknown object was tracked at the time. Col Halt claimed it was seen by himself and base security staff. The 75-year-old, who was deputy commander at the Bentwaters base and now lives in the US state of Virginia, said some former service people had not wanted to speak until they retired but had now provided written statements to him. "I have confirmation that (Bentwaters radar operators)... saw the object go across their 60 mile (96km) scope in two or three seconds, thousands of miles an hour, he came back across their scope again, stopped near the water tower, they watched it and observed it go into the forest where we were," said Col Halt. "At Wattisham, they picked up what they called a 'bogie' and lost it near Rendlesham Forest. "Whatever was there was clearly under intelligent control." UFO researcher John Hanson said he found Col Halt to be a reliable witness and there had been a "concerted effort to hide the truth". He said the evidence of the UFO being picked up by radar seriously undermined the suggestion by the government at the time that the reported phenomena was due to witnesses seeing the light from Orfordness lighthouse.

Reassessing Technology for Time-Warp Space Travel

A 17-year-old boy ... received the Air Force’s highest science award in the 1960s. This young man had the audacity and guts to build and test a new and unusual rocket. The boy’s name was David Adair, and the engine he built was a nuclear-fusion electromagnetic containment engine. This rocket was tested successfully and had an eventful landing in that land beyond lands that doesn’t exist, the famous Area 51. This vehicle had the capability of achieving light speed and, according to the builder, was capable of exceeding light speed with capabilities to propel an interstellar ship to the stars. Where did David Adair, now head of Intersect Inc. in Atlanta, get the design for this engine? As he tells it, directly from NASA. The organization evidently had 18 engine designs, and guess what? Only two were solid- or liquid-propelled rocket engines. This was in the 1960s. I wonder what happened to the rest of those engine types in the past 30 years. I also wonder what type of engines have been and are being tested at the old Rocketdyne facility in the Santa Susana Mountains above Simi Valley. One might ask if the massive class-action lawsuit against Rocketdyne, which alleges contamination of the nuclear type, has any relationship to the engines that were developed and continue to be developed today. If we look at some of these modern concepts and then consider the possibility of extraterrestrial visitation, it doesn’t seem quite so impossible.

UFO reports by US troops skyrocket to over 500

A new de-classified US government report on UFO sightings by US troops has revealed hundreds of new cases. The US National Intelligence office is now aware of 510 reported sightings, an increase over the 144 compiled in the spy agency's first 2021 assessment. Nearly half of the new sightings were deemed "unremarkable" and attributed to human origins, according to the report. However, more than 100 of the encounters remain unexplained. The report says that encounters with UFOs - which the government calls Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) - continue "to occur in restricted or sensitive airspace, highlighting possible concerns for safety" and national security. The report was issued in part to help "destigmatise" experiences with UFOs and improve air safety. And it says increased reports of encounters are indeed the result of "a concentrated effort to destigmatise the topic of UAP and instead recognise the potential risks that it poses as both a safety of flight hazard and potential adversarial activity", the report states. It goes on to say that 171 sightings still remain "uncharacterised and unattributed" - meaning, not enough information was collected to effectively identify them. "Some of these uncharacterised UAP appear to have demonstrated unusual flight characteristics or performance capabilities, and require further analysis," the report says. The reports are being examined by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), an office in the Pentagon created last year to review UAP incidents.

‘Several hundred’ UFO reports received by Pentagon’s new tracking office
2022-12-16, The Guardian (One of the UK's Leading Newspapers)

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/dec/16/several-hundred-ufo-reports-rec...

A new Pentagon office set up to track reports of unidentified flying objects has received “several hundred” new reports, but no evidence so far of alien life. The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) was set up in July and is responsible for not only tracking unidentified objects in the sky, but also underwater or in space – or potentially an object that has the ability to move from one domain to the next. The office was established following more than a year of attention on unidentified flying objects that military pilots have observed but have sometimes been reluctant to report due to fear of stigma. In June 2021 the Office of the Director of National Intelligence reported that between 2004 and 2021, there were 144 such encounters, 80 of which were captured on multiple sensors. Since then, “we’ve had lots more reporting”, said anomaly office director Sean Kirkpatrick. When asked to quantify the amount, Kirkpatrick said “several hundreds”. This May, Congress held its first hearing in more than half a century on the topic, with members expressing concern that – whether or not the objects are alien or potentially new technology being flown by China, Russia or another potential adversary – the unknown creates a security risk. So far, “we have not seen anything, and we’re still very early on, that would lead us to believe that any of the objects that we have seen are of alien origin”, said Ronald Moultrie, under secretary of defense for intelligence and security. “Any unauthorized system in our airspace we deem as a threat.”

Pentagon UFO study led by researcher who believes in the supernatural

When the U.S. government released a much-anticipated report on UFOs a year ago, many were perplexed that it couldn’t explain 143 of the 144 sightings it examined. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence, which released the study, provided no details about who had investigated the cases. Last week, however, a former Department of Defense (DOD) astrophysicist and reality TV personality named Travis Taylor asserted that he was the ‘chief scientist’ for the congressionally mandated study. The revelation shocked UFO skeptics in the science community. They note that Taylor has made extraordinary claims during TV appearances, including to have "seen more UFOs than I can count," and that he’s been tracked by supernatural entities that caused his car and appliances to malfunction. In fact, Taylor did serve in a lead role with the government's Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) Task Force, which produced 2021's fuzzy UFO report, Pentagon spokesperson Susan Gough confirmed. In recent statements to George Knapp, a TV journalist in Las Vegas, Taylor said he was asked to be the government’s lead scientist on UFOs in 2019 by Jay Stratton, whom he counts as a long-time DOD colleague and friend. At the time, Taylor was with the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command, where he was employed from 2007 until retiring 2 months ago. Stratton was based at the Office of Naval Intelligence before retiring recently. Both men now work for Radiance Technologies.

Nasa forms independent team to study unexplained UFO sightings
2022-06-09, The Guardian (One of the UK's leading newspapers)

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2022/jun/09/nasa-study-ufo-sightings

Nasa is launching a study of UFOs as part of a new push toward high-risk, high-impact science. The space agency announced on Thursday that it was setting up an independent team to see how much information is publicly available on the matter and how much more is needed to understand the unexplained sightings. The experts will also consider how best to use all this information in the future. Nasa’s science mission chief, Thomas Zurbuchen, acknowledged the traditional scientific community may see Nasa as “kind of selling out” by venturing into the controversial topic, but he strongly disagrees. “We are not shying away from reputational risk,” Zurbuchen said. “Our strong belief is that the biggest challenge of these phenomena is that it’s a data-poor field.” Nasa considers this a first step in trying to explain mysterious sightings in the sky known as UAPs, or unidentified aerial phenomena. The study will begin this fall and last nine months, costing no more than $100,000. It will be entirely open, with no classified military data used. Nasa said the team will be led by astrophysicist David Spergel, president of the Simons Foundation for advancing scientific research. Spergel said the only preconceived notion going into the study is that the UAPs will probably have multiple explanations. “We have to approach all these questions with a sense of humility,” Spergel said. “I spent most of my career as a cosmologist. I can tell you we don’t know what makes up 95% of the universe. So there are things we don’t understand.”

Note: Once again we see evidence of a planned roll-out to get people used to the idea of UFOs when undeniable evidence of significant ET involvement has been available for decades. UFOs: Few answers at rare US Congressional hearing
2022-05-17, BBC News

The first public congressional hearing into UFO sightings in the US in over 50 years ended with few answers. Two top military officials tasked with probing the sightings said that most can ultimately be identified. But they said a number of events have defied all attempts at explanation. The sightings recorded by the military include 11 "near-misses" with US aircraft. Some Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) - as the military terms UFOs - seem to have been moving without any discernible means of propulsion. During the hearing at the House Intelligence Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Counterproliferation Subcommittee, top Pentagon intelligence official Ronald Moultrie said that through "rigorous" analysis, most - but not all - UAPs can be identified. In 2004, fighter pilots operating from an aircraft carrier in the Pacific encountered an object that seemed to have descended tens of thousands of feet before stopping and hovering. In another incident ... an object can be seen on camera flying past a US Navy fighter jet. The object remains unexplained. "There are a small handful [of events] in which there are flight characteristics or signature management that we can't explain," said Scott Bray, the deputy director of naval intelligence. "Those are obviously the ones that are of most interest to us." [In 2017], pilots described seeing them on an almost "daily basis" outside military bases, and one whistleblower described how UAPs had interfered with US nuclear weapons facilities, even forcing some offline.

Note: It’s no surprise that Congress was not willing to discuss the huge amount of undeniable evidence on a major UFO cover-up, which you can find on this webpage. For more along these lines, see concise summaries of deeply revealing news articles on UFOs from reliable major media sources.

House Panel to Hold Public Hearing on Unexplained Aerial Sightings

A House subcommittee is scheduled to hold next week the first open congressional hearing on unidentified aerial vehicles in more than half a century. The hearing comes after the release last June of a report requested by Congress on “unidentified aerial phenomena.” The nine-page “Preliminary Assessment” from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence focused on 144 incidents dating back to 2004 and was able to explain only one. The report delivered to Congress last June was done by the intelligence community along with the Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force, which the Pentagon replaced in November with a new office, the Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group. Last December, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand ... and Representative Ruben Gallego ... succeeded with bipartisan support in inserting an amendment into the annual National Defense Authorization Act that directs that the Pentagon work with the intelligence community on the issue and make public reports about its findings. The amendment expanded the scope of the research beyond what the Pentagon group was already conducting. Congress has not held any open hearings on U.F.O.s since the Air Force closed a public investigation known as Project Blue Book in early 1970. In 1966, Gerald R. Ford ... organized a hearing in response to reports of U.F.O.s by over 40 people, including 12 policemen. The Air Force explained them away as “swamp gas,” which Mr. Ford said was “flippant.”

New Pentagon Office Criticized as Effort to Control UFO Investigations, End Transparency

American officials and analysts globally are raising alarm about a new Defense Department office that will handle the U.S. government’s examination of unidentified flying objects, warning that the move indicates the military wants to end a brief spell of transparency and shove UFO reports back into a closet. The Pentagon quietly announced ... that it had formed the esoteric-sounding Airborne Object Identification and Management Synchronization Group. It serves as the follow-on to a government-wide effort earlier this year to document and analyze reports of encounters with unidentified objects – “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” or UAPs in Pentagon jargon – predominantly from military pilots. The new office, which reports to the undersecretary of defense for Intelligence and Security, will now oversee the entire government’s study of UFOs, focusing on sightings within restricted military airspace. Some researchers characterize the Pentagon’s latest move as an “insulting” attempt to run around specific efforts by civilian organizations and leaders in Congress to exercise greater oversight over the government’s study of UFOs. “It represents a brazen step towards completely stifling the burgeoning demand from both the public and Congress for increased UFO transparency,” says Peter Whitley, a ... member of the Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON, which considers itself one of the largest and oldest of its kind. “Clearly, the DOD is attempting to ... shut the door on further disclosure of any kind.”

UFOs could threaten US security, pols say after Capitol Hill briefing

Capitol Hill lawmakers said Wednesday that UFOs could pose a pressing threat to America’s national security, as the pols emerged from a highly classified briefing with Navy and FBI officials on the unexplained phenomena. Ahead of the release of a highly anticipated Pentagon report on unidentified flying objects before month’s end, members of the House Intelligence Committee received a hush-hush sneak preview inside a SCIF, or “sensitive compartmented information facility.” As for the existence of extraterrestrial life, the lawmakers largely left the secrets inside the surveillance-proof room, declining to tell reporters what they learned. But some did voice concerns that the UFOs — which may be espionage assets controlled by America’s foreign adversaries, in a possible explanation just slightly less terrifying than the vanguard of an alien invasion — could pose a danger to national security. “We take the issue of unexplained aerial phenomena seriously to the extent that we’re dealing with the safety and security of US military personnel or the national security interests of the United States, so we want to know what we’re dealing with,” said Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY). Rep. Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) said that, if anything, the landmark report shows that UFOs are finally being taken seriously. “The stigma is gone,” he said. “Now that’s as big a change in policy as I’ve witnessed about this issue in my lifetime. So the fact that they are taking this sort of thing seriously for the first time, I think, is important.”

Aliens Created Our Universe in a Lab, Scientist Suggests

Could our universe have been created in a petri dish? Avi Loeb seems to think so. The Harvard astronomer posits that a higher "class" of civilization may have conjured up our universe in a laboratory far, far away. "Since our universe has a flat geometry with a zero net energy, an advanced civilization could have developed a technology that created a baby universe out of nothing through quantum tunneling," Loeb writes in an op-ed published by Scientific American last year. This theory, he suggests, would unite two seemingly opposite notions: the idea that a higher power might be driving our fate, and the secular concept of quantum gravity (a field of physics that seeks to work gravity into the theory of quantum mechanics–something that, to the bane of physicists everywhere, we haven't been able to do yet on Earth). Primarily, this theory hinges on a far-off advanced civilization's ability to meld both quantum mechanics and gravity and subsequently identify and recreate all of the universe's ingredients. Loeb ... has devised a framework that breaks advanced civilizations down into classes based on their ability to "reproduce the astrophysical conditions that led to its existence." Earthlings would fall into class C because ... we would not be able to recreate our current conditions should the sun suddenly die. A class A civilization, like our proposed creators, would be able to, say, generate large amounts of dark energy and, as Loeb suggests, create "baby universes" ... that could potentially spawn life.
