Important Elections Message and Appeal for Support

Dear friends,

Please support us

Many people are deeply affected by the results of the recent U.S. election. Reporting on this is not easy. Several subscribers have emailed saying they don't like or disagree with what we've reported. What you may not realize is that the over 14,000 subscribers to the list come from widely differing political persuasions and from a huge variety of cultural, social, and ethnic backgrounds.

Among our US subscribers, we have many conservative Republicans who care about our country, many liberal Democrats who want to ensure that everyone is cared for, and everything in between. About 1/3 of our subscribers are from outside of the US, and they are even more diverse.

In these recent elections, I know without doubt that thousands of our readers are supporters of Donald Trump and believe Hillary Clinton is in cahoots with the power elite of our world. At the same time, thousands of our readers are supporters of Hillary Clinton and believe Donald Trump is in cahoots with the power elite of our world. And thousands more, like me, don't support either of these candidates.

The reason we have such a wide range of supporters is because at, we do our best not to take sides in the left/right debate. Polarization only serves to keep us focused on working against each other. The power elite of our world know this and continue to use the polarization card even with this recent election to keep us fighting against and not trusting each other. We choose instead to focus on exposing polarization when we see it and calling on all of us to work together for a better world for all.

So where does this leave me in choosing news articles to be summarized and posted? I do my best not to persuade anyone in any particular political direction, but rather to focus on shining light into any dark shadows that negatively impact us, wherever they are, especially polarization. I do my very best not to take sides, deeply believing that ultimately we are all on the same side. And I'm not perfect and at times may upset some with my choices. For this I apologize.

My own personal belief is that our political leaders have only as much power as we collectively and individually give them. I choose not to give them much power and focus more on what I can do to make a difference in my life. In this work, I do my best to select articles which empower people to look deeper into all that is going and then take action in their personal lives which support constructive change.

My hope is to inspire our readers to remember that we are all human. We all want to feel loved, valued, and respected. If we remember this, it's actually not that difficult to come together around shining a loving light into the shadows with the intention of coming together to make a positive difference in our world. By focusing less on hierarchical politics and more on what each of us can do to help those around us, I have no doubt that we are helping to create a brighter future for us all.

An appeal for support

With all of that said, we really need your help to thrive and to open many more people's eyes to all that is going on in the world, especially with all of the craziness going on recently. And as we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, any donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. We really need you to support us in the great work.
