Shifting From Left-Right To Top-Bottom
What the Wealthy Power Elite Don't Want You to Know

"As the right blames the left and the left fights the right, the people at the top laugh all the way to the bank as their wealth and economic clout increases above the rest of us by leaps and bounds. What would happen if left and right stopped fighting against each other? What if conservatives and liberals worked together not only to reveal how the wealthy banksters and power elite have corrupted our institutions for their own benefit, but also to restore quality education for our children and fairness under the rule of law?"

Dear friends,

What the Wealthy Power Elite Don't Want You to Know.

Have you noticed how the media and politicians subtly and not-so-subtly encourage us to focus on the split between left and right? People are divided into conservative and liberal camps to duke it out and see who comes out on top. And this has only intensified ever since Trump was elected and especially since the coronavirus hit.

When the Republicans come out on top and control political power in the US, all our problems are blamed on their conservative agenda. When the Democrats take control, our problems are blamed on their leftist policies. Yet somehow the people at the top are rarely blamed, and they always come out richer. It's called "divide and conquer" and is a tactic that has been used by the power elite of our world for centuries.

What would happen if instead of left and right, we chose to focus more on the split between top and bottom? What if we prioritized pointing out the differences between the power elite and the rest of us? Taking the U.S. as an example, a Bloomberg article finds "The top 1% control 39% of U.S. wealth, and the bottom 90% have only 26%.." While this Forbes article points out pandemic profiteering by revealing that while the rest of the world suffers, "the combined wealth of all U.S. billionaires increased by $821 billion or 28% between March 18, 2020 and September 10, 2020."

A San Francisco Chronicle article pointed out that "income in America is now more concentrated in fewer hands than it has been in 80 years." BusinessWeek confirmed, "the statistics underscore two long-term trends: that income at the very top has exploded and their taxes have been cut dramatically." So as the right blames the left and the left fights the right, the people at the top laugh all the way to the bank as their wealth and economic clout increases above the rest of us by leaps and bounds.

Consider what would happen if left and right stopped fighting against each other? What if instead conservatives and liberals worked together not only to reveal how the wealthy banksters and power elite have corrupted our institutions for their own benefit, but also to restore quality education for our children and fairness under the rule of law? What if we stopped looking for enemies and instead looked for allies and friends on both sides of the left-right spectrum to build a world where all can benefit and have equal opportunities for success?

WantToKnow.info and our nonprofit mother organization PEERS have strong supporters from both the left and right and everywhere in between. Though it has not been easy, particularly in these polarized times, we have always been dedicated to building bridges between these two and to helping people to see that when we rise above our differences, we can more effectively work together for our common good and join in exposing all that is being hidden from the public. By joining forces, we can build a brighter future for us all.

Requesting Your Support

We invite you join us in this worthy endeavor and to support our work and spread the word in whatever way you can, so that we can be more effective in bringing left and right together to make positive changes in our world. We do our best not to inundate you with requests for donations, yet every other month or so it is important to request your help. As we enter this season of holidays and move towards the end of the year, we ask that you consider supporting our work.

Thanks to the wonderful volunteer support we receive, PEERS, the dedicated nonprofit organization which manages WantToKnow.info and our sister websites, is able to operate on a shoestring budget of $80,000 per year. Over 95% of our funds come from the generosity of caring people like you who believe in our work and send in donations. This outpouring of support has helped to bring over a million visits to our websites this year.

I want to sincerely thank all of you who have supported us in the past. You have enabled us to grow and to make a real difference in our world. Whether you have donated in the past or not, I invite you to help us now to reach our goals. We are currently running in the red almost $8,000. We ask you to consider the value of our work both to you personally and to our world. Then ask yourself, is this work worth the price of a good book or a good meal in a restaurant to you? I encourage you to donate that amount or more to support our work. Even a small contribution makes a difference.

As PEERS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. To contribute using your credit card online, please visit the link below to make a one-time donation. Or consider giving the valuable gift of a monthly donation to provide consistent support.
