WTK Email Messages Filtered to Spam or Junk Box

Dear friends,

We continue to get reports from many of you that some WantToKnow.info email messages are being filtered to your spam or junk mail box. These reports have involved all of the major email services. I subscribe to our email list using five different email addresses to monitor this.

Several subscribers have sent messages saying that not only did they not receive one or more emails, they checked their spam folder thoroughly and could not find them there. At the same time, many have emailed who use these same services saying they are having no problems. I continue to be baffled, as the filtering is so inconsistent.

Thankfully, there is an easy way to see if you have missed any message. Every message sent out to the WTK list is posted to our website. We have one webpage which is an index that lists the title of every message sent, the date sent, and a link to the webpage where the message was posted, with the most recent messages listed first. We usually send out messages twice a week, almost always on Monday or Tuesday and then Friday. So if you don't get a message from us on those days, you can find a link to our post of that message on the below webpage:

If you think you are having a problem with WTK emails being filtered, I recommend that you bookmark the above link as a favorite. I invite everyone to take a look at the above link just once to see if you have missed any of our recent messages. And please note that I sometimes post the messages and links there one or two days before I send a message out to the list.

There is another way to stop filtering. Most email services have a way to "white list" certain email addresses, so that they are never filtered. Each service does this differently, so if you don't know how to do this, you might do an Internet search or contact your email provider to learn how to do this. You can then put our sending email address of emaillist (at) peerservice.org on that list.

I apologize for any inconvenience about this, but hopefully this information will make it easier to keep up on all of our messages. For those who want to see every message, I suggest checking the above link every month or so to see if you missed any. Thanks so much for your continued interest, and have a great day.

With very best wishes,
Fred Burks for PEERS and WantToKnow.info

Note: One supporter reported that American Express denied his effort to make a contribution using his credit card. Please let me know if you have any problems making a donation. It is worth our time to find a way around that. Your support means a lot to us. Thanks.
