Pentagon Document: U.S. Wants to “Suppress Dissenting Arguments” Using AI Propaganda
August 25, 2025, The Intercept
https://theintercept.com/2025/08/25/pentagon-military-ai-propaganda-influence/
The United States hopes to use machine learning to create and distribute propaganda overseas in a bid to “influence foreign target audiences” and “suppress dissenting arguments,” according to a U.S. Special Operations Command document. SOCOM is looking for a contractor that can “Provide a capability leveraging agentic Al or multi LLM agent systems with specialized roles to increase the scale of influence operations.” So-called “agentic” systems ... can be used in conjunction with large language models, or LLMs, like ChatGPT, which generate text based on user prompts. While much marketing hype orbits around these agentic systems and LLMs for their potential to execute mundane tasks like online shopping and booking tickets, SOCOM believes the techniques could be well suited for running an autonomous propaganda outfit. Whether AI-generated propaganda works remains an open question, but the practice has already been amply documented in the wild. In May 2024, OpenAI issued a report revealing efforts by Iranian, Chinese, and Russian actors to use the company’s tools to engage in covert influence campaigns, but found none had been particularly successful. The military has a history of manipulating civilian populations for political or ideological purposes. A troubling example was uncovered in 2024, when Reuters reported the Defense Department had operated a clandestine anti-vax social media campaign.

The CIA Watched Him Bend Reality With Just His Mind—Then Tried to Turn His Consciousness Into a Weapon
August 29, 2025, Popular Mechanics
https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a65932697/cia-psychic...
In 1972, American artist and psychic Ingo Swann altered the magnetic field inside a thickly shielded vacuum container located underground for several seconds—by simply thinking about it. As Harold Puthoff, a physicist with the Stanford Research Institute, witnessed the output from his magnetometer changing, he was mind-blown. There was no physical explanation for the reading changing the way it did. And as soon as Puthoff asked Swann to stop thinking about the apparatus, the unexplained changes in the magnetic field abruptly stopped. By the time Puthoff and his colleague Russel Targ, another physicist at the Stanford Research Institute (now known as SRI International), presented their results ... the CIA had already begun working with SRI to perform top-secret research on paranormal phenomena—primarily “remote viewing” for intelligence collection. Remote viewing refers to a type of extra-sensorial perception that involves using the mind to “see” or manipulate distant objects, people, events, or other information. By the mid-1980s, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) took the program over, calling it “Stargate.” DIA had three main goals for its research: Determine how to apply remote viewing to intelligence gathering against foreign targets; Figure out how other countries could be doing the same thing and using it against the U.S.; and Perform laboratory experiments to find ways to improve remote viewing for use in the intelligence field.

CIA spy located world's largest nuclear submarine using just his mind
March 27, 2025, Daily Mail (One of the UK's Popular Newspapers)
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-14540055/CIA-psychic...
It was the height of the Cold War. The Soviets were constructing the world's largest nuclear submarine. With limited intelligence operations, the CIA recruited a 'psychic' spy to locate the top secret vessel, and he apparently did so using only his mind. The agency had been carrying out experiments in the 1970s and 80s with individuals who claimed to have extrasensory powers and were able to perceive information about distant objects, people or events. There are claims that this group of test subjects, known as 'remoter viewers', successfully tracked down hostages and drug lords for the covert program that lasted more than a decade. One of the best remote viewers, a man named Joe McMoneagle, claimed to have used his ability to see inside a Soviet Union hangar and uncover a top-secret submarine being built. Typically, remote viewers sit at a table with paper and something to sketch with. They're then given something simple, like a set of numbers, to focus their attention on. For psychic spies during the Cold War, these would have most often been coordinates - a set of numbers marking off a spot in the world where the US government wanted to investigate. From there, the remote viewer just sits there and relaxes, kind of like meditating. They clear their heads and let their minds wander toward whatever those numbers point to. McMoneagle's participation in the Army's psychic intelligence unit was eventually confirmed in declassified documents and interviews.

Secret CIA program claimed to have found alien civilization on dark side of the moon: 'They look like us'
June 3, 2025, Daily Mail (One of the UK's Popular Newspapers)
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-14773431/Secret-CIA...
In the 1970s and 80s, the CIA conducted experiments with individuals who claimed they could perceive information about distant objects, events, or people, a process known as 'remote viewing.' The experience of remote viewer Ingo Swann was first revealed in 1998 when he explained how his psychic episode took him to the dark side of the moon. That's where the remote reviewer made a shocking discovery: towers, buildings, and human-like aliens working at a secret complex on the moon's surface. Disturbingly, Swann said government officials knew the aliens had a base there, and these humanoids could actually sense his presence as he viewed them with his mind from 238,000 miles away. He claimed that a race of aliens that 'looked exactly like us' erected several giant towers on the moon. One was the size of the United Nations building in New York. Swann, who died in 2013, made the shocking claims in his book 'Penetration: The Question of Extraterrestrial and Human Telepathy.'However, Swann was also told that he could not reveal anything he saw in that vision for 'at least 10 years.' One thing he did not expect to see was two of the aliens spotting his consciousness viewing the secret moon base. 'Two of them pointed in my direction,' Swann explained. 'How could they do that ... unless ... they have some kind of high psychic perceptions, too?' It was at that moment [Swann's recruiter] Mr Axelrod ended the remote viewing session.

Reincarnation Proven? Declassified U.S. Army Intelligence Study Fuels Astonishing Claims About Life After Death
December 28, 2024, MSN News
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/reincarnation-proven...
Could consciousness, as a form of energy, transcend the confines of a single lifetime? A declassified U.S. Army study, known as “The Gateway Process,” opens an extraordinary avenue into this idea, blending ancient spiritual concepts with rigorous scientific investigation. In the early 1980s, Lieutenant Colonel Wayne M. McDonnell embarked on a 29-page analysis of the Gateway Process, a program created by the Monroe Institute. This initiative sought to expand human awareness beyond the physical plane, exploring states of consciousness that defy conventional understanding. Key techniques included: Hypnosis: Inducing deep mental focus to access unconscious realms; Transcendental meditation: Harnessing mental clarity to transcend ordinary cognition; Remote viewing: Observing distant locations or events using only the mind. McDonnell’s findings posited that consciousness could interact with a dimension beyond time and space, which the Monroe Institute called the Absolute. If this is true, memories, and experiences might persist across lifetimes, supporting the theory of reincarnation. The University of Virginia Medical School’s Division of Perceptual Studies has documented over 2,500 cases of children under the age of five recalling details from alleged past lives. These children often provide specific, verifiable information about people, places, and events they could not have known otherwise.

Ellen Brown: Unaudited Power: The Military Budget Nobody Controls
August 26, 2025, ScheerPost
https://scheerpost.com/2025/08/26/ellen-brown-unaudited-power-the...
The U.S. federal debt has now passed $37 trillion and is growing at the rate of $1 trillion every five months. Interest on the debt exceeds $1 trillion annually, second only to Social Security in the federal budget. The military outlay is also close to $1 trillion, consuming nearly half of the discretionary budget. The United States could avoid debt altogether by simply paying for the budget deficit with Treasury-issued “Greenbacks,” as Abraham Lincoln’s government did. But ... this article will focus on that other elephant in the room, the Department of Defense. Under the Constitution, the military budget should not be paid at all, because the Pentagon has never passed an audit. Expenditures of public funds without a public accounting violate Article 1, Section 9, Clause 7 of the Constitution, which provides: "No Money shall be drawn from the Treasury, but in Consequence of Appropriations made by Law; and a regular Statement and Account of the Receipts and Expenditures of all public Money shall be published from time to time." The Pentagon failed its seventh financial audit in 2024, with 63% of its $4.1 trillion in assets ... untracked. From 1998 to 2015, it failed to account for $21 trillion in spending. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), launched with promises to strip waste, fraud, and abuse from federal agencies, has conspicuously sidestepped the Pentagon. Without fiscal transparency and accountability, we can no longer call ourselves a democracy.

‘Dark deserts’ study finds government secrecy where newspapers fade
August 27, 2025, Seattle Times
https://www.seattletimes.com/opinion/dark-deserts-study-finds...
Our study, “Dark deserts: Newspaper decline and its relation to government noncompliance with public records laws” ... provides some evidence that journalistic vitality is associated with greater compliance with public record laws at the state level in the United States, supporting the tenets of democratic theory. We conducted a national public records audit from November 2023 through January 2024 in the U.S. to measure transparency of state governments. Then, that state-level transparency was compared with metrics measuring newspapers per capita and the budgetary strength of press associations. The study sought to answer the question, is there a relationship between a weakening newspaper ecosystem and increased government secrecy? As U.S. newspapers continue to close at a rate of two per week and cut back public affairs coverage, fewer reporters will be asking for public records and fewer outlets will sue governments to enforce public record laws. What happens if most, or nearly all, local newspapers go dark? Government officials may feel emboldened to ignore public records requests, knowing that few people will litigate. Perhaps they already feel that way, which may explain the findings from this study. Our results indicate that density of digital-only media outlets does not appear related to better public records request compliance — that there could be something special about newspapers, in particular.

Recently surfaced 9/11 evidence was not shared with FBI field agents or top intelligence officials
August 4, 2025, CBS News
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/recently-surfaced-september-11-evidence...
Evidence has emerged that could change our understanding of the 9/11 terrorist attacks nearly 24 years ago. The evidence was turned over to the FBI in the weeks after 9/11, but ... it was never shared with the bureau's own field agents or top intelligence officials. The evidence came to light as part of a long-running lawsuit against the Saudi government by the families of the nearly 3,000 people killed in the attacks, and it includes a chilling video of a Saudi national filming the U.S. Capitol. This video, recorded in the summer of 1999, was unsealed in federal court last year as part of the 9/11 families lawsuit accusing Saudi Arabia of providing crucial support to the hijackers. Exhibit A in their case: the man who made the video, Omar al-Bayoumi. Bayoumi was living in the United States on a student visa. Investigators say ... Bayoumi was an operative of the Saudi intelligence service and had close ties to two of the hijackers. During a raid on Bayoumi's U.K. apartment about 10 days after the attacks, British police discovered the Capitol video, along with about 80 other tapes. [An] internal FBI report, dated Oct. 11, 2001, shows that "copies of all recovered exhibits" were "sent to FBI-New York via Federal Express," but the Capitol video never made it to the San Diego field office. Retired FBI special agent Danny Gonzalez, one of the lead 9/11 investigators in San Diego, says he never knew about the video during the 15 years he worked on the case.

Russiagate scandal demands prosecutions, overhaul of the FBI and CIA
August 17, 2025, The Hill
https://thehill.com/opinion/white-house/5454070-russiagate-scandal...
Newly released documents and damning evidence conclusively substantiate what many Americans have long suspected. Russiagate was a conspiracy — hatched, implemented and relentlessly promoted by top officials in the CIA, FBI and across the Obama-Biden-Clinton political machine to rig a presidential election and undermine a duly elected president. Former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, among other intelligence officials, have lied to Congress and the American public about their reliance on the discredited Steele dossier — a report paid for by the Clinton campaign and the DNC — while simultaneously engineering different versions of critical intelligence assessments to cover their tracks. Activists tied to George Soros’ Open Society Foundations, aided by operatives within the Obama FBI and intelligence community, sought to plant and spread the bogus narrative about Trump colluding with Russia. Hacked emails and foreign intelligence corroborated this extraordinary collusion between campaign operatives, federal law enforcement, and the media — a clear case of government being weaponized for partisan ends. Leaders at the FBI — Comey, Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok — and at the CIA, and their superiors in the Obama White House, knew precisely what was unfolding. They were using the intelligence community’s credibility to spread what they knew to be their own fiction as if it were truth.
Note: The security firm CrowdStrike was hired to investigate the alleged Russian hack of DNC servers in 2016 and found no proof that any emails from the system had been exfiltrated. All they found was inconclusive circumstantial evidence, which was presented as proof in media to the public. This deflected from the DNC and Clinton campaign’s sabotage of Bernie Sanders and the damaging content of leaked DNC emails. In 2022, the DNC and Clinton campaign were fined by the FEC for obscuring their role in funding the debunked Steele dossier. Clinton also personally approved sharing another unverified claim with the press that alleged a secret Trump-Russia server connection, which helped trigger an FBI investigation later found to be baseless. Why are we not connecting the dots?

Meet the Former Pentagon Scientist Who Says Psychics Can Help American Spies
November 12, 2015, Newsweek
https://www.newsweek.com/2015/11/20/meet-former-pentagon-scientist...
Twenty years ago this month, the CIA released a report with the unassuming title, "An Evaluation of Remote Viewing: Research and Applications." The 183-page white paper was more like a white flag—it was the CIA's public admission, after years of speculation, that U.S. government agencies had been using a type of ESP called "remote viewing" for more than two decades to help collect military and intelligence secrets. At a cost of about $20 million, the program had employed psychics to visualize hidden extremist training sites in Libya, describe new Soviet submarine designs and pinpoint the locations of U.S. hostages held by foreign kidnappers. The report, conducted for the CIA by the independent American Institutes for Research, did much more than confirm the existence of the highly classified program ... code-named Star Gate. The CIA researchers had validated some Star Gate trials, finding that "hits occur more often than chance" and that "something beyond odd statistical hiccups is taking place." But the report declared that ESP was next to worthless for military use because the tips provided are too "vague and ambiguous" to produce actionable intelligence. Brian Buzby was an Army lieutenant colonel when he briefly ran the Pentagon's ESP program in the 1980s. He's retired in Alabama now and has never spoken to the media before. "I believed in it then, and I believe in it now," Buzby says. "It was a real thing, and it worked."

Life After Near Death: A Journey Beyond the Physical Plane
January 2, 2025, Patheos
https://www.patheos.com/blogs/wakeupcall/2024/12/life-after-near-death...
Natalie Sudman’s book Application of Impossible Things [is] a fascinating tale of her near-death experience (NDE) while serving as a civilian employee of the Army during the Iraq War. The Humvee she was riding in was blown up by a roadside bomb. Sudman instantly went somewhere else in the blink of an eye. She was no longer in the military vehicle she had been riding in. She was in what she calls “the Blink Environment,” a very different place that is strangely familiar to her. "I found myself standing on an oval dais addressing thousands of white-robed beings or energies," [she said]. "I knew the gathering to be a meeting of many groups representing a wide variety of interests and personalities. I transferred to them information from my life in the form of an inexplicably complex matrix. Discussions proceeded among the various groups. I communicated that I was tired and had no interest in returning to the physical plane. The entities gathered in front of me requested that I return to my physical body to accomplish some further work. I agreed, though the decision was entirely up to me. Many with near-death experiences describe some entity or figure telling them they were required to return to the physical world. This didn’t happen to me. I had a choice. I next moved to another vibrational location where there were nine personalities [that] were able to project trajectories my life would take when I returned to earth and assist me with connecting with the will of the Whole Self.

Why Reality Isn’t Just a Story
July 28, 2025, San Francisco Chronicle (San Francisco's Leading Newspaper)
https://www.sfgate.com/opinion/chopra/article/why-reality-isnt-just...
At the present time, the physical/materialistic story is so dominant, thanks to modern science and technology, that a crucial fact gets lost: All stories are mind-made. We are their source, but when enough people are convinced that a story is absolutely true, we forget this fact. Instead of holding on to our status as creators, we lapse into the subsidiary role of being a character in the story. One major tradition, however, was free of stories, namely the Vedic tradition in India. They teach ... about consciousness. No story is attached, because consciousness is timeless. When this truth is lost, the mind fills in the space with stories. A story is whatever you live by that isn’t fully conscious. Of course, the world’s religions and spiritual traditions contain inspiring thoughts, some of them deeply imbued with pure consciousness. By the same token, physical/materialist eras are filled with impressive discoveries that bring subtle levels of Nature to light. But only consciousness knows consciousness. Every other source of knowledge is subsidiary at best, unreliable at worst. Looking at ourselves now, most people would be shocked to discover that identifying with the physical world is a mistake. Correcting the mistake has enormous implications - it would be like waking up from a dream. If we stop accepting the basic tenet of physicalism - that everything in existence is explainable by exploring the matter and energy that compose the universe - a huge shift is possible.

Consciousness Isn’t Just in Your Head—It May Be Altering Reality Itself, Scientists Say
April 8, 2025, Popular Mechanics
https://www.popularmechanics.com/science/a64308954/consciousness...
The question of, “What is consciousness?” is no longer exclusively the realm of ancient philosophers and dorm-room debaters. In the last few years, scientists across all kinds of disciplines have been making remarkable breakthroughs in the study and exploration of consciousness. William B. Miller, Ph.D., an evolutionary biologist and physician, is ... is among a small, but growing group of scientists who believe that your cells aren’t “passive robots that automatically follow a code of instructions, carrying out orders from our genome like mindless drones.” Instead, these scientists think the roughly 37 trillion cells that make up your body are themselves conscious—and that life and consciousness began exactly at the same time. Scientists aren’t just exploring consciousness in our bodies—they’re also searching for it in even weirder, more complex places. In recent decades, some experts have developed a theory that says when your brain performs quantum operations, it generates consciousness. One scientist, Michael Pravica, Ph.D., for example, believes that your brain can access hidden dimensions during moments of heightened awareness. But these ideas don’t have to be purely theoretical; to some degree, they can be put to the test. That was the case with a recent groundbreaking study that suggests Your Consciousness Can Connect With the Whole Universe. We know—that’s a lot to take in. And yet, it’s just the beginning.

'Psychic' parrot expected to ruffle scientific feathers
February 12, 2001, USA Today
http
N'Kisi may look like an ordinary Congo African gray parrot, but she's the subject of a series of telepathy experiments by a former Cambridge University researcher who says the results are "astounding." "The parrot seems to be able to pick up her owner's thoughts with an amazing degree of accuracy," says Rupert Sheldrake, a former Royal Society researcher at Cambridge and author of Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home and Other Unexplained Powers of Animals. N'Kisi's owner, Aimee Morgana of Manhattan, ... says she first noticed N'Kisi's psychic abilities when she saw an explicit picture in the Village Voice personals. "I was thinking, 'Wow, that's a pretty naturalistic work.' " Then, she says, N'Kisi spoke from the parrot's cage across the room: "Oh, look at the pretty naked body." Sheldrake was interested. He explored N'Kisi's psychic abilities using a double-blind test. He asked Morgana to look at photographs in one room while the parrot was in a cage in another. One camera videotaped Morgana looking at photographs, another camera about 55 feet away videotaped the parrot, who made comments that seemed to correspond to many of the photos Morgana was looking at. N'Kisi made 123 comments during the test sessions, and 32 of those were "direct hits" corresponding to the images Morgana was looking at. The chances of that occurring, Sheldrake says, are less than 1 in a billion. Telepathy is made possible, he says, by the emotional bonds between people and animals. "In the case of N'Kisi, there's a very strong connection between her and Aimee."
