Shifting From Left-Right To Top-Bottom
What the Wealthy Power Elite Don't Want You to Know
"As the right blames the left and the left fights the right, the people at the top laugh all the way to the bank as their wealth and economic clout increases above the rest of us by leaps and bounds. What would happen if left and right stopped fighting against each other? What if conservatives and liberals worked together not only to reveal how the wealthy banksters and power elite have corrupted our institutions for their own benefit, but also to restore quality education for our children and fairness under the rule of law?"
Have you noticed how the media and politicians subtly and not-so-subtly encourage us to focus on the split between left and right? People are divided into conservative and liberal camps to duke it out and see who comes out on top. And this has only intensified since the coronavirus hit.
When the Republicans come out on top and control political power in the U.S., all our problems are blamed on their conservative agenda. When the Democrats take control, our problems are blamed on their leftist policies. Yet somehow the uber-rich global elite are rarely blamed, and they always manage to come out richer. It's called "divide and conquer" and is a tactic that has been used by the power elite of our world for centuries.
What would happen if instead of polarizing left and right, we chose to focus more on the split between top and bottom? What if we prioritized pointing out the huge gap and inequalities between the power elite and the rest of us?
As this CBS article points out, "the world's 2,365 billionaires enjoyed a $4 trillion boost to their wealth during the first year of the pandemic." That's a whopping increase of 54% in just one year! Meanwhile this Washington Post article is titled "Virus-linked hunger tied to 10,000 child deaths each month." The number of those facing starvation worldwide has literally doubled since the lockdowns started according to Nobel Peace Prize winner David Beasley. This CNBC article is titled "The pandemic led to ‘one of the greatest wealth transfers in history’."
So as the right blames the left and the left fights the right, the people at the top laugh all the way to the bank as their wealth and economic clout increases above the rest of us by leaps and bounds.
What would happen if left and right stopped fighting against each other? What if instead conservatives and liberals worked together not only to reveal how the wealthy banksters and power elite have corrupted our institutions for their own benefit, but also to restore quality education for our children and fairness under the rule of law? What if we stopped looking for enemies and instead looked for allies and friends on both sides of the left-right spectrum to build a world where all can benefit and have equal opportunities for success?
WantToKnow.info and our nonprofit mother organization PEERS have strong supporters from both the left and right and everywhere in between. Though it has not been easy, particularly in these polarized times, we have always been dedicated to building bridges and to helping people to see that when we rise above our differences, we can more effectively work together for our common good and join in exposing all that is being hidden from the public. By joining forces, we can build a brighter future for us all.
Requesting Your Support
We invite you join us in this worthy endeavor and to support our work and spread the word in whatever way you can, so that we can be more effective in bringing left and right together to make positive changes in our world. We do our best not to inundate you with requests for donations, yet every other month or so it is important to request your help. As we enter this season of holidays and move towards the end of the year, we ask that you consider supporting our work.
Thanks to the wonderful volunteer support we receive, PEERS, the dedicated nonprofit organization which manages WantToKnow.info and our sister websites, is able to operate on a shoestring budget of $80,000 per year. Over 95% of our funds come from the generosity of caring people like you who believe in our work and send in donations. This outpouring of support has helped to bring over half a million visits to our websites this year.
I want to sincerely thank all of you who have supported us in the past. You have enabled us to grow and to make a real difference in our world. Whether you have donated in the past or not, I invite you to help us now to reach our goals. We ask you to consider the value of our work both to you personally and to our world. Then ask yourself, is this work worth the price of a good book or a good meal in a restaurant to you? I encourage you to donate that amount or more to support our work. Even a small contribution makes a difference.
As PEERS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
